Most Stupendous Open House

Mom and Emma were absolutely beautiful.

The food....I actually got to eat it!

mmm it was so delectable :)

The wonderful guests that arrived before us...we may or may not have been stuck  on the freeway with an overheated car somewhere in between here and San Francisco.

These two lovely ladies on the left are the culprits of this beautiful event, between them and my mother  an evening of memorable perfection was created.

At last we arrive! Good thing we had showered that morning after several days of camping cause prep time here was about ten minutes.

The very best part about our the open house was getting to see and hug all the beloved friends that I care about so much.

I love my daddy, he and my wonderful Mom put so much work into this beautiful open house. Thank you.

Thank you, my most loved friends for coming. The time spent with you means the world to us. We love you.

HONEY MOON :D

          The getaway car

Off to who knows where, at least at the time I didn't. Dustin refused to tell me any of his plans of where we were going, all I ever new is how long it was going to take to get there so I would try to guess by our previous location where we'd end up. In this case, Yellow Stone Park.

We stayed in a cute little cabin for several days. I loved it! I told Dustin how wonderful it was to stay in the same place for such a long time because usually when I travel its a different place every night and a race to all the sights all day long. The only racing we did was For the Galaxy (tee hee). One day we just stayed inside the whole day and played game after game. It was perfect for a honeymoon vacation.

We did make it out of the cabin at some point and drove around to some of the sites. A lot fewer than are actually available to see but we were just fine with that, we'd both been before and it was just a whole lot of fun to be traveling around with your one best-est friend.

Haha what a stud, I love his poses.

I love being married.

We also got a chance to go on a horseback ride! Oh I loved that so very much. It was Dustin's first time on a horse unless you count the time that he fell off when he was four. He had a really great time (and didn't fall off) so much so that he's willing in the future to perhaps even own some horses of our own! That would be fabulous, there are few things that I can think of being more fantastic than going on a long horseback ride with just the two of us.

Dustin ran into some folks from Germany on our ride, I think he especially loved that. He's been trying to speak German to me but I'm afraid I've been a little slow at picking it up. No worries though I'm going to keep at it, we'd like to teach our kids while they are young if I can get it down well enough. Anyhow, Dustin really enjoyed getting to speak his mission language again, he really loves it. There is nothing like a rough language being spoken by a gentle man. Its beautiful.

Alright, on the road again... until we stopped to kiss and take pictures :)

Once again I had no idea where we were headed, but as we got closer it became very clear. We stayed in the same campground that Dustin had joined our family in for our backpaking trip in the Tetons. It was on this trip that I thought for the very first time that I might marry this man. And now here we were, back, for our honeymoon together as husband and wife.

We hadn't planned on rain however, we were intending to stay in our little tent but the man at the desk warned us that it was going to be very cold that night. We were so very blessed because he offered us this little cabin for the same price as a tent site. I'm greateful we had the cabin so we could live to tell about it ;)

See those cups...

Jackson County, a new place! I'd never been here before and it was one of Dustin's favorite family vacation spots so he took me for a tour.

...there they are again. Those plus some McDonald's spoons were our dishes for the  two weeks we were vacationing. I must say it was fabulous to experience both sides of life from the luxurious cheesecake in hotels to cold cereal in in campsites.  I loved it all.

This was awesome. We had dinner and watched a cheesy hick play in Jackson. Probably my favorite part of our touring there. Nothin gets you in the mood like a good banjo player.

Ok I lied. This was the best part of Jackson County. We devoted a whole day to Portal Co-op using McDonald's  WiFi. That was fabulous. Yes I freely admit that we are hopeless nerds, so, we embrace it :D

Alright once again on the road and this time for the long run. When Dustin said it was going to take us 12 hours to get there this time I could only guess our next stop was in California. Also taking into account that in a week we needed to be in Shingle Springs for our open house I think this was a safe bet... and also a very long drive.
P.S. those roses are the ones he gave me the day he proposed. They are still there today.

Finally we did get there. The San Francisco area that is. We decided to go for a campsite that was very out of the way, it was a mile hike in and free. Perfect.

But don't worry, there was plenty of nutritious foods to get us through the hike to camp each night.  Mostly berries. Actually just berries. Nothing else..at all really.

Pier 39, back again to the place where we spontaneously traveled during Dustin's legendary trip out to California the first time.

We'd come to Hard Rock Cafe' and ordered clam chowder. This time we were able to order clam chowder from a real sea food place instead of the only place that was open past eleven o'clock. Our whole honeymoon was reminiscent of our courtship, a lovely way to start our new life together.

The aquarium in San Francisco was fascinating  Dustin and I spent more than an hour walking through this little tunnel that usually takes someone about 15 minuets.
